My name is Lucia, and I am a documentary photographer and writer based in Spain with over 18 years of experience.
For the past 12 years, I have worked as a photojournalist on projects related to women’s issues, covering topics such as breast cancer, violence against women, and young motherhood. My work has been published in magazines and newspapers in Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Spain, and Mexico. You can view some of my projects on my blog.
My extensive experience has taught me patience and compassion while allowing me to share the personal stories of others intimately. A few years ago, I began practicing Yoga, which led me to travel to and live in Asia to further my studies. There, I discovered new ways to express myself through photography and began drawing while studying sacred geometry. This exploration led to the manifestation of the HUMANDALA project, which is still in progress.
For my work, I have received a scholarship to participate in the “Foundry Photojournalist Workshop” and the “Buenos Aires Photo Workshop”. Additionally, I was selected to participate in the “Visionado de Portfolios Transatlántica” in the Dominican Republic. My work has been showcased in exhibitions and galleries across Argentina, Ecuador, and Europe. Specifically, I was selected to participate in the “Tropical Schizophrenia” exhibit at PHotoEspaña in Madrid, and Maggie Steber nominated me to participate in the “Joop Swart Masterclass”, World Press Photo.
